Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Respiratory Therapy Faculty member is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and clinical education within the Respiratory Therapy Program while supporting student success, program development, and institutional initiatives. This full-time, 12-month faculty position teaches classroom, laboratory, and clinical courses in respiratory care, utilizing effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement of course objectives and program outcomes. Responsibilities include supervising clinical learning experiences, maintaining accurate student and clinical records, advising and mentoring students, participating in curriculum development and assessment, and collaborating with healthcare partners to ensure quality clinical experiences. Faculty are also expected to engage in professional development, serve on college and program committees, support accreditation standards, and contribute to the mission and goals of the college. Teaching assignments may include day and evening classes at multiple campus or off-campus locations, and travel to clinical affiliation sites is required.
