What You’ll Do
  • Provide respiratory therapy care across multiple units, including ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D (high-risk deliveries)
  • Support Level 3 NICU/PICU care, including high-risk delivery needs as required
  • Manage airways and ventilators, including readiness for neonatal intubation if necessary
  • Perform and interpret respiratory assessments, including ABG puncture and analysis
  • Support patients requiring non-invasive ventilation and inhaled medication administration (including nitric oxide when indicated)
  • Participate in acute response support including Code Blue and rapid response as needed
  • Document care in the facility’s charting system (Meditech Expanse)
What You Need
Required
  • LA State Licensure
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • National Accreditation through NBRC
  • Valid driver’s license (required for campus floating)
  • 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Ability to support high-risk deliveries and NICU/PICU
  • Comfort with neonatal airway/ventilation needs (including intubation if necessary)

Preferred
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred; CRT accepted)
  • Experience with neonatal and ventilator-focused care across high-acuity environments
About the Assignment
You’ll support a multi-campus healthcare system covering ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, L&D (high-risk deliveries), and Level 3 NICU/PICU needs. The work includes high-acuity respiratory management, response support, and coordinated care across departments—supported by respiratory leadership and educators across campuses.
