What Youll Do:- Provide advanced respiratory care for adult ICU, ED, postpartum, and high-risk neonatal/pediatric patients across multiple campuses
- Attend to high-risk deliveries, including neonate intubation and airway management
- Manage ventilators, perform ABG analysis, and administer inhaled medications such as nitric oxide
- Support NICU/PICU with critical respiratory interventions and monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care in high-stakes situations
- Document treatments accurately within Meditech Expanse system
- Support unit operations during floating between campuses as needed
What You Need:- Current LA State Respiratory Therapist license
- BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS/PALS preferred)
- At least 2 years of experience in high-acuity respiratory care, including high-risk deliveries and NICU/PICU support
- Proficiency with equipment such as Servo U/I, Trilogy, V60, NICU oscillator, and ventilators
- Strong airway management, ventilator troubleshooting, and emergency response skills
- Ability to float across multiple campuses and adapt to varied clinical environments
About the Assignment:
This assignment involves providing top-tier respiratory care across several campuses in Shreveport, LA, including ED, ICU, NICU, PICU, and high-risk delivery units. You will work with a dedicated leadership team, including clinical supervisors and educators, to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. The role requires flexibility for floating between sites within a 20-25 minute drive, with orientation provided to ensure seamless integration.
