Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - St. Luke’s Health System.

Required Skills/Experience: - Adult, NICU, and pediatrics experience required. - RRT preferred; will accept CRT with 3-5 years of experience. Must have at least 2-3 years of experience if RRT, 3-5 years of experience if CRT; first-time travelers accepted. - If covering NICU, must know how to do NAVA on Servo vents.
Special Requests: - Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. - Previous employment at the facility may be considered on a one-off exception basis with approval by St. Luke’s Health System. - They do try to accommodate block scheduling as best they can, but it is not guaranteed.
Unit Details: - 36-42 treatments per 12-hour shift, or 12-14 every 4 hours. - Inpatient role covering adults on all floors, pediatrics, and NICU. RTs assigned to pediatric floors also cover adults; RTs assigned to adult floors do not cover pediatrics. - Manages RT equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs. Does not perform EKGs. - Travelers assist with intubations but do not intubate independently. - Uses Epic. - Equipment includes Draeger vents for adults, Servo U vents for pediatrics, V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest machines, and Hill-Rom Metaneb. - Hospitalist and intensivist are in-house 24/7.
Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend. - Holidays required if on assignment during the holiday. - No call. - Overtime may be available.
Floating Requirements: - May float to COSM, Meridian Medical Center, and Nampa Medical Center.
14 days maximum time off
1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
Driver’s license required for submission
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
