Looking for a weekend job that’s as rewarding as it is fun?As a Weekend Respite Lead 1 at Pathways to Community, you’ll be at the heart of our weekend respite program—bringing joy, structure, and support to adults with developmental disabilities through engaging, community-based experiences.By helping to lead community outings like trips to the Mall of America, sporting events, amusement parks, arcades or a dinner out, you’ll be having fun while making a difference in the lives of our individuals.If you’re a natural leader with a compassionate heart and love getting out into the community, we want to hear from you!Position Title:Respite Lead 1 Schedule:Every Saturday 10:00am-Sunday 11:00am.Position Type: Part-time, 25 hours per weekCompensation:$18.75 per hourLocation:Twin Cities Metro. In this role you will be making a difference by:
Providing oversight to the respite program on weekends, leading staff and providing directions.
Assisting with personal care as needed.
Cooking and light cleaning.
Providing constant supervision.
Administering medications
Transporting individuals to and from community events.
*This position does require you to work with individuals who need help with personal cares, have behaviors, and requires you to be available for last-minute schedule changes.
To be considered for this role you must:
Carry a valid driver’s license, proof of valid insurance, and have daily access to a reliable vehicle.
Hold an acceptable driving record.
Possess strong English communication skills.
Be able to participate in water activities (pool, waterslides, hot tub, etc.)
Be able to pass a DHS and nationwide criminal background check.
Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
