Overview

Chenega is seeking a skilled Response Team Supervisor to support security operations at the CDC in Atlanta, GA. In this leadership role, you’ll assist the Senior Shift Supervisor in managing daily operations, ensuring contract compliance, and leading a team of highly trained officers. As part of the Mobile Response Team or Quick Reaction Force, you’ll respond to critical incidents such as active shooter events or workplace violence, using advanced tactics and specialized equipment. This is an armed position requiring proficiency with a sidearm, M4, and other assigned weapons.

The hourly compensation for this position is $26.05.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Operational Duties: Follow all directives from the MRT Lieutenant, Site Manager, or Project Manager, and carry out assigned post orders and instructions.
  • Maintain Tactical and Physical Readiness: Participate in physically demanding training, maintain contract-required fitness levels, and stay current on all required certifications.
  • Ensure Weapons Proficiency: Maintain qualifications with all assigned and team-issued weapons systems, and be prepared to exercise force up to and including deadly force.
  • Support Emergency and Flexible Operations: Be available for 24/7 recall, work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays, and respond during emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Perform Armed Security Functions: Conduct patrols, access control, inspections, traffic control, and escort duties for VIPs and government personnel.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Support overall mission success through additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Education & Age Requirement: Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 21 years old.
  • Relevant Experience: One year of military or law enforcement experience is preferred. Supervisory experience—especially in civilian police, military police, or security organizations—is strongly desired.
  • Licensing & Legal Eligibility: Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and meet all federal, state, and municipal requirements to work as a security guard. Must have no disqualifying criminal history or drug use.
  • Certifications & Firearms Proficiency: Must complete all required training, obtain necessary permits and clearances, and qualify with assigned firearms. A state-issued firearm license must be obtained within 180 days of hire.
  • Physical & Psychological Readiness: Must pass the Physical Efficiency Battery (PEB), drug/alcohol screenings, and psychological evaluations (MMPI-2 and Shipley). Must be able to read, write, and understand English to follow detailed instructions and training materials.
