Job Description:
Position Overview: The Assistant General Manager of the Hotel Restaurant will play a pivotal role in assisting the General Manager in all aspects of restaurant operations, including staffing, financial management, guest satisfaction, and strategic planning. This position requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
Assist the General Manager in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff, ensuring they embody the hotel's commitment to excellence in service.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and personal growth among the restaurant team.
Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to support the development of staff members and ensure high standards of service are maintained.
Operational Excellence:
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement standard operating procedures for restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, reservation management, and service standards.
Monitor daily operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency in service delivery, making adjustments as needed to address any issues or challenges.
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and stock control to ensure adequate supply levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.
Guest Experience and Satisfaction:
Work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurant delivers exceptional dining experiences that exceed guest expectations.
Interact with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and build relationships, fostering a culture of hospitality and guest-centric service.
Implement strategies to enhance the overall guest experience, including personalized service, special events, and menu enhancements.
Financial Management:
Assist in developing and managing the restaurant budget, monitoring revenue and expenses to ensure profitability and financial targets are met.
Analyze financial data and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost savings, and operational efficiency.
Implement pricing strategies, promotions, and upselling techniques to maximize revenue and profitability while maintaining value for guests.
Strategic Planning and Development:
Collaborate with the General Manager and executive team to develop and execute strategic plans for the restaurant, aligning with the hotel's overall goals and objectives.
Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Participate in meetings, presentations, and initiatives to promote the hotel restaurant and enhance its reputation as a premier dining destination.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Manage payroll for all staff members
Coordinate staff scheduling efficiently
Spearhead training and development initiatives for new hires and ongoing education for current staff members
Monitor and analyze guest sentiment scores for continuous improvement.
