Restaurant Floor Manager - Harrington's by the Bay

Harrington's by the Bay is looking for an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to join our management team.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys being where the action is: on the floor, interacting with guests, supporting employees, solving problems, and helping ensure each shift runs smoothly.

You'll report to our General Manager and work alongside an established team of managers. You won't be expected to carry the restaurant on your shoulders. Instead, your role is to provide strong leadership during your shifts, support the team, and help create the kind of experience that keeps our guests coming back.

What You'll Do

• Lead and oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts
• Maintain a visible, engaged presence on the dining room floor
• Build relationships with guests and help create a welcoming atmosphere
• Support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and kitchen employees as they perform their roles
• Keep service flowing smoothly and step in wherever additional support is needed
• Address guest questions or concerns professionally and appropriately
• Coach employees in the moment and reinforce service and performance expectations
• Communicate effectively between the front and back of house
• Help maintain Harrington's standards for hospitality, cleanliness, presentation, and service
• Handle opening or closing management responsibilities as assigned
• Communicate shift needs, concerns, and successes with the General Manager and management team

What You Won't Be Responsible For

We want to be clear about the scope of this position. This is primarily a floor leadership role, not an administrative management position. You will not be responsible for:

• Writing employee schedules
• Placing food, beverage, or supply orders
• Carrying sole responsibility for restaurant operations
• Serving as the General Manager

Your focus is the shift in front of you: the guests, the employees, and the overall flow of service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous table-service restaurant management experience
• Restaurant leadership or management experience strongly preferred
• A natural ability to connect with both guests and employees
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Confidence making decisions during a busy service
• Willingness to jump in and help rather than manage from the sidelines
• Ability to coach employees respectfully and address issues when needed
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
• Weekend availability preferred
