Locally founded in 2013, VIVA Chicken is a charcoal-fire rotisserie joint specializing in the authentic Pollo a la Brasa (rotisserie chicken) found on the streets of Peru. VIVA promises distinctive and flavorful menu items packed with inspired recipes in a vibrant, inviting atmosphere. Viva is basedin Charlotte, North Carolina. VIVA Chicken has 15 restaurants across the Carolinas. Viva Chicken is seeking a General Manager to join our team! Total compensation with bonus $80,000-$100,000/yr.

  • Competitive Salary and Bonus! Total compensation range of $80,000 to $100,000 plus per year! Bonus plan based on PFO paid every 28-days.
    • 15-days (120 hrs.) of Paid Time Off. Managers in their role for 5-years receive 20-days (160 hrs.) of PTO!

What Viva is looking for:
    • 2-3 years of culinary management experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment is helpful.
    • Responsible for operations and ensuring we are exceeding guest expectations with a passion for food, safety, people, and hospitality.
    • Mind set of maintaining a great work environment filled with respect for all. We want everyone to feel like "I belong at Viva Chicken"!
    • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities at once including restaurant operations and catering events working with and through the back of the house team.
    • Responsible for recruiting, training, cross-training and retaining the kitchen staff as well as scheduling, giving feedback, and being collaborative explaining the WHY' with staff.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to mentor coach, teach and give feedback.
    • Commitment to food quality, recipe adherence, and consistency. Has a strong grasp of health and sanitation requirements and runs a Neat, Clean and Organized kitchen.
    • Strong understanding of cost controls within food cost and labor deployment of hours. Ability to follow established Best Practices.
    • Ability to teach and coach Managers and Shift Leaders to take on more responsibility and manage more effectively.
    • We are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of "People Development" and are excited about training and developing the team.
    • Must be able to reach, bend, balance and carry large objects within the kitchen repeatedly throughout your shift.
