GENERAL MANAGER THE SALTY TARPON | PUNTA GORDA, FL
The Salty Tarpon is looking for a strong General Manager / Operator to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and help drive this business where it needs to go. This is not a shift manager position and not a keep the doors open role. We re looking for someone who knows how to lead people, build systems, control costs, and run a restaurant with very little owner intervention.
Responsibilities include:
Full P&L ownership
Hiring, training, coaching, and accountability
Scheduling and labor management
Food cost, inventory, and purchasing control
Bar loss/shrink control
Guest experience and online reputation
Managing managers and building systems
Daily operations and execution
Help make the restaurant more efficient and profitable
Requirements:
Minimum 5+ years full-service restaurant GM experience
High-volume restaurant/bar experience preferred
Must know
Toast POS inside and out
Must know
Extra Chef inside and out
Strong understanding of food cost, labor, reporting, and inventory controls
Must be a problem solver and self-starter
Able to lead adults not babysit employees
Must be comfortable being measured by results
Compensation:
$70,000 $75,000 base salary
Performance bonus opportunities based on profitability, labor, food cost, and operational goals
90-Day Expectations:
Improve systems and accountability
Reduce owner involvement
Identify opportunities to improve profitability
Implement and maintain operational standards
Run the restaurant as if it were your own
