Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Server to join our team! The Server is the face of our restaurant and plays an integral role in our customer’s dining experience. You will build rapport with customers, answer questions about the menu, take orders, and serve food and drinks. The ideal candidate is friendly, outgoing, and has fantastic attention to detail. The best candidates will have experience in creating a memorable hospitality experience for our customers.

In 2025/2026 we earned Best Ribs and Grand Champion titles, and we won best Sauce in 2026 as well. We compete in rib festivals across the region. What You'll Do


•       Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming, professional dining experience


•       Know our menu inside and out, including our meats, sides, sauces, and award-winning ribs, and make confident recommendations


•       Take accurate orders and communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar


•       Serve food and beverages promptly and check back to make sure every guest is happy


•       Serve alcohol responsibly and follow all Illinois liquor laws


•       Handle payments accurately and efficiently


•       Keep your section, side stations, and the dining room clean and stocked


•       Work as a team with hosts, bartenders, and kitchen staff, especially during rushes


•       Help train new servers as you grow into a leadership role



What We're Looking For


•       A friendly, upbeat personality and genuine love of taking care of people


•       Professional appearance, communication, and attitude


•       Ability to stay calm, organized, and efficient during busy shifts


•       Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic


•       Serving experience preferred, but we'll train the right person


•       BASSET certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it


•       Must meet Illinois age requirements to serve alcohol


•       Able to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays up to 25 lbs




Compensation

Responsibilities: 

• Take food and beverage orders from customers
• Answer questions about the menu and preparation
• Provide accurate orders to the kitchen staff
• Check with customers periodically during their meals to ensure they are satisfied
• Take orders from customers for food and beverages
• Provide customers with their checks at the end of the meal and process payment

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience as a server is preferred
• Friendly and outgoing personality
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing for long periods and carrying trays
• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
