The Host is responsible for the first impression and point of contact with every guest. The Host sets the highest example for hospitality, gracious service, and welcoming guests into the restaurant. The Host is part of the service team and partners with colleagues in planning and organizing the seating plans to efficiently and expediently coordinate the dining experience throughout each service. Service team members:
Are passionate about hospitality, guest experience, and great food
Are fully knowledgeable of the menu including ingredients, allergens, and wine recommendations
Work as part of a service team to take care of all guests in the restaurant
Ensure a positive guest experience
Compensation & Benefits:
$23 - $25/hr

Summary of Host Responsibilities
Create the most welcoming and hospitable environment for guests both in person and over the phone as needed
Manage the floor plan for the dining room to optimize guest experience, amount of tables/seating, and successful service
Manage reservations for guests including regular clients
Professionally and gracefully answer guest questions with regards to restaurant hours, menus, and any other dining information
Welcome and seat guests professionally, communicating with service team regarding seatings
Act as a professional point of contact for guests and communicate with colleagues across the restaurant including service team, management, and culinary
Remain composed while working with a sense of urgency and focus
Set the best examples for professionalism, guest service, and passion for hospitality
Other duties as assigned to assist with the restaurant service
Required Qualifications
Strong communication skills and hospitality skills
Able to grasp and reach overhead
Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs
Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
Servsafe allergen certified and Servsafe food handler (or willing to be certified prior to start date, company pays classes)
