Restaurant Host/Hostess – Guest Experience Team

Estimated total compensation: $18–$22/hour depending on experience, shift volume and sales
Schedule: Primarily Friday/Saturday evenings, and other busy shifts as needed.

About The Passenger

The Passenger is a globally inspired, travel-themed restaurant in Downtown Longmont serving tapas-style dishes, larger plates, brunch, craft cocktails, mocktails, and memorable hospitality. Our goal is to help guests slow down, linger, and feel taken care of from the moment they arrive.

We are looking for a warm, organized, and hospitality-minded Host/Hostess to be a part of our Guest Experience team. 

What You’ll Do

1. Welcome guests at the host stand with warmth and professionalism.
2. Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and seating flow using OpenTable.
3. Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, shift supervisor, and kitchen.
4. Help guests understand our spaces, including the Concourse, Gallery, Baggage Claim patio, and private dining areas. 
5. Answer basic guest questions about menus, parking, events, private dining, and reservations.
6. Support table turns without making guests feel rushed.
7. Keep the host stand, menus, entry area, and waiting area clean and organized.
8. Assist with light bussing, resetting tables, running menus, and supporting the floor when needed.
9. Help identify guest concerns early and alert a supervisor before small issues become bigger ones.
10. Improve guest experience by guiding guests toward the right experience, whether that is brunch, dinner, cocktails, date night, private dining, or a special celebration.

What We’re Looking For

2. Strong communication skills.
3. Ability to stay organized during busy shifts.
4. Comfortable speaking with guests, answering phones, and managing multiple priorities.
5. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
6. Weekend and evening availability preferred.
7. Restaurant, hotel, retail, or customer service experience desired.
