Restaurant Host/GreetersThe Granite Grill in Richmond, Virginia, is hiring part-time hosts to join the opening service team of this highly anticipated, new full-service restaurant! We are looking for energetic, friendly, and attentive team players who love to create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Hosts are immersed in a training program to become knowledgeable about our steps of service, food and beverage menus, and company values. The opening of the restaurant is targeted for late October. Greeters are the face of the restaurant and leave a lasting impression by:Creating a great first impression when greeting guests with warmth and professionalismManaging the reservation system accurately and efficientlyPromptly seating guestsProviding customer service when managing the phone linesSupporting the other server staff to clear tables and run dishesAnticipating guest needs and responding quickly to requestsWorking as part of a team to prepare the restaurant for service and keep the shift moving smoothly What we are looking for Previous hosting experience is a plus, but we're willing to train the right personStrong communication and people skillsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentPositive attitude and team-oriented mindsetFlexibility to work some evenings and weekends and at least 3 shifts per weekMust be 17 years of age, proficient in English, and able to stand and move about the restaurant for the duration of the shift.
