Delaney House is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a passion for delivering high-quality dishes consistently. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in alignment with recipes and standards set by the Head Chef.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and cooking stations like saute, grill and fry.
- Comply with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe and hygienic kitchen environment.- Assist in the preparation of food items and ingredients for the service.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any necessary reordering to the kitchen manager.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Adapt to a variety of kitchen environments and culinary techniques with adaptability and enthusiasm.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Restaurant Line Cook or similar role in a busy kitchen environment is required.
- Culinary certification or degree is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
