  • Anticipate guest needs and address questions, concerns, or service opportunities promptly and professionally.
  • Build relationships with regular guests and help create memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.
  • Ensure the restaurant’s atmosphere remains upbeat, inviting, and consistent with the brand’s personality.

Lead and Motivate the Front-of-House Team

  • Lead, coach, and motivate hosts, servers, bartenders, bussers, and other front-of-house team members.
  • Set the tone for each shift by bringing positive energy, clear communication, and a team-first attitude.

  • Recognize strong performance and create a workplace where employees feel supported, challenged, and excited to come to work.
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and development of front-of-house employees.

Drive Smooth and Energetic Service

  • Coordinate front-of-house operations to ensure efficient seating, accurate orders, timely service, and strong communication between the dining room, bar, and kitchen.
  • Monitor the flow of service and make real-time adjustments to maintain a positive guest experience during busy periods.
  • Assist the General Manager with opening and closing procedures, staffing decisions, shift execution, and daily restaurant operations.
  • Ensure the dining room, entrance, bar, restrooms, and guest-facing areas are clean, organized, and ready for service.
  • Maintain strong service standards while allowing the team’s personality and enthusiasm to shine.

Support Sales and Restaurant Performance

  • Encourage the team to make genuine menu recommendations and confidently promote featured dishes, beverages, and add-on items.
  • Support initiatives that increase guest satisfaction, repeat business, sales, and average check.
  • Assist with cash handling, sales reconciliation, deposits, and accurate shift reporting.
  • Help monitor labor, inventory, supplies, and operating expenses while protecting the quality of the guest experience.
  • Partner with the General Manager to identify opportunities to improve service, teamwork, and restaurant performance.

Maintain Quality, Safety, and Cleanliness

  • Ensure food and beverages are delivered accurately, promptly, and according to presentation standards.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Conduct regular checks of guest areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness.
  • Reinforce company policies and procedures while maintaining a respectful and enjoyable work environment.
