The Strand House, Manhattan Beach's premier beachfront fine dining restaurant, is looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team.

About The Strand House

Conceived by a small group of South Bay families out of their love for great food, wine, and community, The Strand House opened in 2011 and helped lead the culinary revolution of Manhattan Beach. With five levels, over 200 seats, and 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the restaurant has become both a local landmark and a destination for travelers worldwide.

Guests may come for the view, but they stay for Chef Chris Park's award-winning Coastal California Cuisine, our curated cocktail and wine program, and the welcoming hospitality of our team. What You'll Do
  • Lead daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction
  • Supervise, train, and schedule FOH team members (servers, hosts, bussers, bartenders, barbacks)
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Events Team, and General Manager to execute private events and promotions
  • Manage labor, costs, and budgets to achieve financial goals
  • Uphold compliance with CA labor laws, health & safety standards, and alcohol service protocols
  • Foster an inspiring, positive, and accountable culture built on teamwork and trust
  • Engage with the South Bay community to grow brand loyalty

This Position Is for You If You...
  • Have 5+ years of upscale or high-volume restaurant management experience (events or nightlife a plus)
  • Lead with confidence, organization, and positivity in a fast-paced environment
  • Inspire and coach team members to provide genuine hospitality and impeccable service
  • Understand California labor laws, Health Department regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Possess strong financial acumen (P&L, labor management, cost controls)
  • Balance strategic oversight with hands-on floor presence
  • Communicate effectively and foster strong relationships across all levels of the team
  • Have a passion for hospitality, food, and wine-and a connection to the South Bay lifestyle is a plus
