Water Oak in Safety Harbor, Florida, is adding a Restaurant Manager to our team. We’re a Florida-forward, coastal cuisine restaurant and bar — the fifth concept from our family-owned group run by ‘born-and-raised Tampa Bay locals’ Guests visit our location before a show at Ruth Eckerd Hall, and our cocktails are famous around town. Locals call it a neighborhood restaurant. 

Most of our team has been with us 10 years and counting. And that’s not an accident.

Here’s the thing about us: our town is small. Especially after 54 years of living in it. We run into people we know everywhere we go. So we don’t make it a point to be friendly — we just are. (well, 98% of the time) Because, we like what we do for a living and we love where we live. We believe our town is the BEST place to live, work, play, and raise a family --> and thats how we run our restaurants.

What you’ll do:

•Take great care of our guests — most of them are neighbors or Pinellas locals. 

•Run service shifts alongside our existing management team — you’ll have a real team of people that actually like their jobs.

•Help hire, train, and develop FOH staff

•Share responsibility for scheduling, inventory, and ordering

•Use forward thinking is not just a job request - we expect you to have it.

What we’re looking for:

•5+ years of restaurant management experience. Battle scars welcome.

•Great Comfort with high-tech systems — we run mobile tableside service on handhelds. Our POS is smart; you have to be too.

•Excel skills — so many people can't do this. Are you the exception?

•Sharp with details — clear shift notes, txts and emails that make sense, paperwork that doesn’t need a translator. Reading and writing skills pays off here.

•A team player. Calm in a Friday rush but still great with people and handles a floor with finesse

•Nights, weekends, and holidays — its a busy restaurant and bar. Those are the days and hours guests want to visit us!
