Position Summary

As a Server, you will play a key role in creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is personable, attentive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment while providing outstanding customer service. Previous serving experience is preferred but not required for candidates with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide exceptional hospitality from arrival to departure.
  
• Present menus and confidently explain Nigerian dishes, ingredients, spice levels, and beverage options.
  
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system promptly.
  
• Deliver food and drinks efficiently while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
  
• Check on guests throughout their dining experience and respond quickly to requests or concerns.
  
• Upsell menu items, beverages, and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
  
• Process guest payments accurately using cash, credit cards, and electronic payment methods.
  
• Maintain clean and organized tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout each shift.
  
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.
  
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
  
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, hosts, bartenders, and management to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  

Requirements

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  
• Previous restaurant serving experience preferred but not required.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Excellent customer service and guest engagement abilities.
  
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
  
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately and make payments.
  
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  
• Must possess a valid Texas Food Handler Certificate or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
  
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
  
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
