CONRAD'S Eat Drink Local is looking for a Restaurant server to add to our team. We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant. The ideal candidate would have high-volume serving experience with some knowledge of craft beer.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bartenders, cooks, management, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is desired, but not required.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be a Brand Ambassador
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude
- Enter orders in POS system
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner
- Knowledge of the menu, cocktail/wine list and beer taps with the ability to make suggestions
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Collect payments from tables
- Show appreciation to our guests every transaction
- Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes
- Help food preparation staff when necessary
- Complete opening and closing duties
- Follow running side work and end of shift side work
Server Requirements:
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment desired
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other staff
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Able to handle money accurately and operate our POS system
