Job Function
Guest Service and Dining Operations
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations regarding food and beverage selections.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, daily specials, and promotions.
- Prepare tables for service by setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Clear and reset tables to maintain cleanliness and readiness for new guests.
- Process guest payments accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Assist with opening and closing duties for the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas.
- Follow all hotel and restaurant policies and procedures.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Assist with additional food and beverage duties as assigned.
Professionalism and Style Expectations

Physical Requirements
These are required of every associate:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to push, bend, stoop, reach overhead, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Ability to hear, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to safely carry trays, dishes, and service items.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Additional Responsibilities Specific to This Position
- Must possess a working knowledge of food and beverage service practices.
- Must have a basic understanding of applicable health and safety regulations.
- Must demonstrate basic mathematical and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education is preferred.
- Ability to obtain any required food safety certifications in a timely manner.
- CPR certification is preferred; first aid training is a plus.
- Additional language proficiency is preferred.
