Restaurant Shift Manager

The Restaurant Shift Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing daily operations of a medium-sized team (6-15 staff) during their shifts to ensure excellent customer service and smooth restaurant functionality. This position involves making operational decisions, managing inventory and cash handling through common platforms like Square and maintaining health and safety standards. Occasional travel between multiple restaurant locations may be required. This role offers opportunities for advancement to General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations to ensure efficient workflow
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve conflicts
• Manage inventory using platforms such as Square
• Handle cash procedures accurately and securely
• Maintain quality control across food and service standards
• Train new staff and support ongoing team development
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Lead the team effectively and foster a positive work environment
• Travel occasionally between restaurant locations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant management
• High School Diploma or equivalent
