Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Displays thorough understanding of venues, menu specials, promotions, operations, layout, hours, location, and area attractions.
  • Follows company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Responsible for daily restaurant operations.
  • Directly supervising hosts, servers, bartenders, bar backs, and bussers.
  • Follows the employment process for all hourly associates, including training, corrective measures, and disciplining.
  • Assists in the training and development of all hourly associates.
  • Works closely with all managers to identify needs and provide appropriate training to associates with management and supervisory potential.
  • Maintains close contact with the Restaurant General Manager to keep abreast of planned functions, room occupancy, maintenance needs, and problems, and to coordinate activities.
  • Maintains a customer-first mentality by ensuring quality of service, food, beverage, ambiance, and atmosphere, and resolves customer complaints.
  • Opens and Closes out associates and ensures associates are performing opening and closing duties at the end of the shift. Also approves associates closing checkouts for accuracy.
  • Inspect restaurant daily to ensure that housekeeping, sanitation, security, and safety standards are met.
  • Reports all repairs or recommends repairs to the Restaurant GM.
  • Directs and assigns restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards.
  • Immediately and respectfully resolves guest requests.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of High School education
  • Minimum of two (2) years in restaurant/bar experience leading shifts without supervision
  • Certification in bartending preferred
  • Alcohol awareness certification preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally

  • Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
  • Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws, as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
