What you’ll take on
- Hands‑on diagnosis and repair of equipment serving the commercial cleaning, restoration, and surface‑preparation fields.
- Work across platforms including 2/3/4‑cylinder gas engines, truck‑mounted carpet cleaning systems, portable carpet extractors, hard‑surface floor machines, duct cleaning tools, deodorizing systems, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, air movers, and HEPA vacuums, leveraging your basic automotive know‑how.
- Apply testing meters, troubleshooting charts, and manufacturer repair manuals the right way, every time.
- Identify additional repair needs and communicate clear recommendations.
- Hit quality and productivity targets within the service department.
- Take direction from supervisors; collaborate with fellow techs and store teams.
- Pitch in to help other technicians and store staff as needed.
- Care for shop tools/equipment and maintain organized, safe work areas.
- Create service orders, schedule and track appointments in our scheduling software.
- Communicate professionally with customers face‑to‑face, by phone, and via email.
- Build bids and present detailed repair/service estimates.
- Balance workload with other techs; order parts and liaise with vendors.
- Coordinate service work with other store employees to ensure on‑time completion.
Hourly Pay $21 /hr. + Monthly Bonus
Bring these qualifications
- Two or more years preferred in: commercial cleaning/restoration equipment, small engine R&M, pressure washer R&M, or vehicle R&M.
- Valid driver license; clean MVR with no DUIs or Careless/Reckless driving in the past 3 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Personal basic mechanic’s tool set.
- High technical proficiency, mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail.
- Fast, accurate diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
- Consistent safety practices—use safety glasses, hearing protection, and required PPE.
- Ability to deliver quality results on schedule and lift 50+ lbs routinely.
- Professional presence; strong written and verbal communication; basic computer literacy.
- Ability to work occasional overtime.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is a bonus.
