Key Responsibilities
Respond promptly to emergency water damage and flood mitigation calls.
Inspect properties to assess the extent of water damage and develop an appropriate mitigation plan.
Extract standing water using specialized equipment.
Install and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment.
Perform moisture mapping and document readings using moisture meters and thermal imaging equipment.
Remove damaged building materials such as drywall, insulation, flooring, and trim as required.
Clean and sanitize affected areas to prevent mold growth and contamination.
Maintain accurate documentation, including photographs, moisture logs, equipment records, and job notes.
Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, insurance adjusters, and team members.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and industry standards, including IICRC guidelines.
Load, unload, clean, and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools.
Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response.
Assist with mold remediation, fire damage cleanup, and reconstruction projects when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in water damage restoration, construction, restoration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required.
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.
Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays during emergency situations.
