Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience in leveraged finance, restructuring, or a combination of both, and will play a key role advising private equity sponsors, lenders, and corporate clients on a broad range of financing and distressed transactions.

This role offers exposure to:
Complex leveraged and acquisition financings
Distressed debt and special situations
In-court and out-of-court restructurings
Cross-border transactions involving sophisticated capital structures

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate credit agreements, commitment letters, and ancillary financing documents
Advise clients on capital structure, liability management, and restructuring strategies
Support execution of leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and refinancings
Assist on Chapter 11 proceedings and out-of-court restructurings
Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders including financial advisors and investment professionals
Manage transaction timelines and contribute to client-facing strategy discussions

Who You Are:
J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials
3–6 years of experience at a leading law firm in leveraged finance, restructuring, or banking
Experience representing private equity sponsors, lenders, or corporate borrowers
Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment
Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility required)
