Join our dynamic and esteemed legal team as a Restructuring Partner. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele, including corporations and financial institutions, and provide expert legal counsel during periods of financial stress and uncertainty. As a Permanent Restructuring Partner, you will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through complex restructuring and insolvency processes. This role requires a deep understanding of insolvency, corporate law, business litigation, and bankruptcy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice to clients on a range of restructuring and insolvency matters, including distressed M&A, financial restructuring, and operational restructuring.
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies to assist clients in financial distress, including debt restructuring and refinancing, asset sales, and recapitalization.
  • Represent clients in bankruptcy proceedings, including the preparation of bankruptcy filings and the negotiation of bankruptcy plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential legal and financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal team to address complex legal issues and deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in insolvency and bankruptcy laws and regulations and communicate these changes to clients and team members.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Contribute to business development activities, including networking events and client presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a focus on insolvency, corporate law, business litigation, and bankruptcy.
  • Must be a member in good standing of the bar.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex restructuring and insolvency cases.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex legal problems.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial information.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand the needs and challenges of our clients.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional ethics and integrity.
