Compensation

$310,000 – $390,000+

A premier global law firm is seeking a Restructuring & Special Situations Finance Associate Attorney to join its Washington, DC office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing private credit funds, banks, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors, distressed investors, and corporate borrowers in sophisticated restructuring and special situations finance transactions.

Ideal Background

3–6 years of finance, restructuring, bankruptcy, or leveraged finance experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

• Experience representing private credit funds, banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, private equity sponsors, distressed investors, and corporate borrowers

• Experience handling special situations financings, distressed debt transactions, liability management transactions, rescue financings, and out-of-court restructurings

• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, intercreditor agreements, guaranties, collateral documents, forbearance agreements, restructuring support agreements, and related finance documents

• Experience supporting Chapter 11 restructurings, debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, exit financings, distressed acquisitions, and bankruptcy-related transactions is preferred

• Experience conducting financing due diligence and managing transactions from structuring through closing

• Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Ability to independently manage sophisticated finance transactions while maintaining significant client interaction

• Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

DC bar admission required or ability to become admitted
