Retail Associate - Home Decor & Apparel

As a Retail Associate (home elements & decor, clothing & footwear focus) at Mountain Hardware and Sports, you will have the opportunity to engage customers with expert advice on home elements, decor, clothing, footwear and more. Whether you're passionate about decorating your home, or personal styling, eager to provide excellent customer service, or looking to expand your knowledge across departments, this position will allow you just that. If you're looking to help customers on the sales floor, all while processing transactions, merchandising, and learning cross-departmentally, this position could be a great fit.

Work location: on-site

Schedule: full-time (8hr shift - 40hrs/week)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with finding products, answering questions, and providing detailed product knowledge in home elements & decor, clothing, footwear and more

• Provide detailed product knowledge and demonstrate features and benefits to help customers make informed decisions

• Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system

• Ability and willingness to learn in each department in the store

• Assist with merchandising, stocking, loading/unloading merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness

• Stay informed on industry trends, new products, and promotions to provide relevant information

Skills and Qualifications

• Must be able to work in the United States

• Must be at least 18 years or older

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English

• Must have ability to distinguish and decipher colors for mixing and matching

• Must have ability to lift up to 56lbs

• Must have ability to use a ladder

• Ability to use provided computer, programs, and technology-based equipment when needed

• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced, confined environment while maintaining focus and efficiency

• Ability to multi-task

Experience

• Customer service: 1+ year (preferred)

• Retail experience: 1+ year (preferred)

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
