OVERVIEW:

The Business Analyst- PAR drives continuous improvement for Planning, Allocations and Replenishment (PAR) departments by focusing on business process analysis and optimization. This role applies PAR subject matter expertise to model processes and define efficiencies needed across applications and workflow. During system projects, this person will collaborate with the PAR Systems Administrators to: define the business processes required with user-facing applications, assist in the development of training materials documentation and delivery, and support gathering and documenting functional requirements. The Business Analyst-PAR owns continuous improvement and development of reporting tools that support designated PAR business processes and administrative functions by utilizing SQL queries, Excel, Power BI, Qlik or other toolsets. The Business Analyst will partner with Enterprise Reporting and Analytics (ERA) with input from PAR teams to define, develop, enhance, test and maintain new and existing reports and tools for the specified areas of business.

BUSINESS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Manage business process workshops including preparation, setup, facilitation, and documentation activities
  • Identify pain-points and points of failure in existing processes through proper use of tools
  • Propose alternative business process solutions
  • Assist in documenting business cases for process improvement recommendations

REPORTING and COMMUNICATION

  • Qlik/Intera: Collaborates and leads development process with ERA for reporting needs
  • Internal Reporting/Tools/Power BI: Develops and influences design/format with stakeholder alignment

APPLICATION/TOOL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

  • Participate in design sessions to ensure that application enhancements support necessary process changes and defined business requirements
  • Conduct functional specification review sessions with support from manager; engage PAR business teams to validate business requirements are addressed in the design
  • Coordinate the creation of realistic business use cases that determine the process that user roles will execute when using the new and/or enhanced application or tool
  • Support PAR System Admins with User Acceptance Testing activities; validate functionality against business use cases
  • Identify solutions and assist in resolution of ad-hoc business issues and projects
  • Evaluate barriers and mitigate impacts to project requirements and deadlines, communicate status to MerchOps management

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree

3 - 5 Years experience in Retail, Merchandising, Merch Planning, Demand Planning, or Allocations/Replenishment

Technological Requirements: Excel, Power BI, Merch Workbench
