About Us:

From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nation’s leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.

Job Summary:

EMCOR Facilities has an opportunity for a Director of Facilities, Retail Banking. This role is accountable for the performance, compliance, and continuity of facilities services across a multi-site retail bank portfolio, including branches, offices, operations centers, and other assigned locations. The Director will lead facilities strategy and execution for maintenance, repairs, vendor performance, capital planning support, and service delivery aligned to banking operations, customer experience, uptime, and regulatory expectations. In partnership with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and client stakeholders, this position is responsible for achieving service level commitments, managing budget performance, driving risk reduction, and ensuring issues impacting branch operations are resolved with urgency. The role requires strong financial acumen, multi-site facilities leadership experience, and the ability to travel as needed across the portfolio.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Client & Portfolio Management. The Director will regularly meet with retail banking client stakeholders to review service performance, branch environment issues, maintenance trends, compliance-related facility needs, capital priorities, and portfolio risks. Monthly and quarterly reviews will be used to evaluate performance, address open issues, and align facilities execution to business objectives, branch uptime, customer experience, and operating budget requirements.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned retail banking facilities stakeholders and communicate proactively on service issues, outages, escalations, and portfolio initiatives.
  • Review repair, maintenance, and minor capital requests approaching approval thresholds and escalate recommendations, scope, and estimates to the client for timely decision-making.
  • Develop and execute portfolio plans that improve branch readiness, asset reliability, response times, and overall facility conditions while meeting budget and service objectives.
  • Set the facilities strategy for the retail bank portfolio, including preventive maintenance, reactive service delivery, vendor governance, and branch environment standards.
  • Establish goals, scorecards, and reporting cadences to proactively manage branch uptime, work order performance, vendor compliance, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure cost-effective, compliant, and consistent service delivery across the portfolio, with strong attention to banking standards, audit readiness, life safety, and customer-facing branch conditions.
  • Represent the organization with client leaders, internal operations teams, and service partners to strengthen execution, governance, and alignment across the retail banking portfolio.
  • Lead strategic planning for current and future facilities requirements, including branch refresh priorities, deferred maintenance, service model improvements, and risk mitigation across assigned locations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize scope, service levels, and capital prioritization to improve portfolio performance, resiliency, and total cost of ownership.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by implementing disciplined work management processes, clear communication, and technology-enabled visibility into service performance and asset issues.
  • Create a consistent facilities operating model across the branch network, implementing portfolio-wide initiatives and maintaining standards that support a safe, reliable, and professional banking environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, response time, preventive maintenance effectiveness, and reduction of repeat issues across the portfolio.
  • Support client retention, contract renewal, and service expansion efforts by demonstrating strong operational performance and strategic value.
  • Conduct routine visits with branch leaders, facility partners, operating companies, and third-party suppliers to strengthen relationships and improve field execution across assigned markets.

Business and Operations Planning. The Director will ensure facilities operations are aligned with retail banking objectives, risk priorities, service expectations, and portfolio performance targets.

  • Use a collaborative process to review service level agreements, branch response metrics, preventive maintenance compliance, and vendor performance trends; document results and lead corrective action plans where improvement is needed.
  • Lead portfolio planning by developing a multi-year facilities roadmap that incorporates operating needs, capital priorities, asset condition considerations, and branch network changes.

Scope Decisions. Identify best practices, service standards, and KPIs that will be used to manage and evaluate retail banking facilities performance across the portfolio.

  • Identify critical facilities services required to maintain safe, secure, and operational banking locations, and define contingency plans for services that could disrupt branch operations, employee productivity, or customer access if not delivered effectively.

Service Level Agreements. Measuring performance is critical to continuously improving service delivery. The Director will drive service levels across the retail bank portfolio, partnering closely with client stakeholders to establish metrics aligned to branch uptime, response time, asset reliability, compliance needs, and customer experience expectations.

Monthly Reporting. The Director will structure, prepare, and analyze monthly portfolio reports that provide visibility into work order trends, spend, branch issues, vendor performance, SLA attainment, and key operational risks.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required; advanced degree or relevant facilities, operations, or business credentials preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of multi-site facilities management, field operations, or account leadership experience, preferably supporting branch banking or other customer-facing portfolios.
  • Experience leading retail banking, financial services, or other highly distributed facilities portfolios is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to analyze operating data, interpret contracts and service requirements, prepare executive-level reports, and present recommendations to clients and internal leadership.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-site portfolios, implementing best practices, and improving service consistency, vendor performance, and client outcomes across dispersed locations.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed within the assigned geography to visit branches, meet with stakeholders, and support operational reviews.
