About the Job

The retail floor assistant provides day to day operational support of the course materials, books, general merchandise and customer service within the campus store to support our retail efforts to serve customers, troubleshoot and resolve issues .This position encompasses work as a cross functional team member within the Bookstore's Campus Operations department ensuring excellent customer service and compliance in all activities. This position works in the Coffman Memorial, St. Paul and may assist at other offsite locations.

The retail floor assistant provides day to day operational support of the course materials, books, general merchandise and customer service within the campus store to support our retail efforts to serve customers, troubleshoot and resolve issues. This position primarily works in the Coffman Memorial location, but may assist at other Bookstore locations.

Work Hours: 8:30-6 Monday-Friday, Saturday 10:00-4 (hours may vary)

Total Hours per Week: 16-40

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Currently not registered U of MN Student
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs.
  • Available to work some weekends
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Dependable
  • This is a temporary position starting July
  • Must be available 8/31/26-9/18/26
  • This is a temporary position that cannot exceed 67 days in a calendar year

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.50 per hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
