Position Summary
The Grocery Night Crew Associate is responsible for stocking, rotating, and organizing grocery product during overnight hours to ensure the store is fully stocked, clean, and ready for customers at opening. This role supports inventory accuracy, food safety standards, and overall store presentation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Stock grocery merchandise efficiently using proper lifting and safety techniques
- Rotate product according to FIFO standards; remove damaged or expired items
- Break down pallets and organize backstock in designated locations
- Face, zone, and condition aisles to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness of aisles, shelves, coolers, baler area, and backroom
- Use handheld devices or labels accurately (as applicable)
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and safety policies at all times
- Report inventory issues, damages, or safety concerns to Night Lead or Manager
- Support inventory counts and ad change preparation as assigned
Customer & Team Expectations
- Demonstrate Friendly and respectful behavior at all times
- Work cooperatively with Night Lead, Grocery Manager, and Store Leadership
- Maintain professional conduct even with limited overnight customer interaction
- Follow direction and complete assigned tasks within shift expectations
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Overnight shift (typically evening–early morning hours)
- Frequent lifting (up to ~50 lbs), bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- Work performed in coolers/freezers as needed
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work overnight schedule reliably
- Ability to lift, push, and pull per job demands
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
