A Brief Overview

The Retail Initiatives Manager is the operational liaison and communications lead bridging frontline teams and operational partners to ensure process and application/service changes balance efficiency with customer impact. The Retail Initiatives Manager coordinates cross-functional initiatives by participating in key meetings, maintaining project plans within project management software, summarizing outcomes, and escalating risks/issues to directors and executives while helping drive solutions. The Retail Initiatives Manager supports frontline readiness by identifying training gaps and serving as an area process expert—maintaining strong knowledge of procedures and systems while monitoring internal/external impacts.

What you will do

  • Leads Retail-related special projects including, but not limited to, mergers and acquisitions, system conversions, and department implementations, working with other departments and branches to ensure a smooth transition for both employees and customers.
  • Uses the Bank's project management platform to track and report on project milestones and overall project status.
  • Maintains strong knowledge of retail processes, procedures, and systems and keeps abreast of internal and external challenges that may impact the Retail Banking space.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of Retail operating policies and procedures to mitigate risk and in compliance with banking regulations.
  • Works closely with senior leaders to assess training needs and performance deficiencies and collaborates with others to close performance gaps.
  • May manage vendor relationships related to Retail services.

Other Qualifications/Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED Business or Management and minimum 5 years project management and/or training preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years retail frontline and/or operations support Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
