About the Role

Jacques Marie Mage is seeking a Retail Operations Specialist to support the continued growth and refinement of our US retail business. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining the systems, processes, and operational discipline that allow our galleries to perform at the highest level. This is a hands-on role that sits at the center of retail, inventory, and cross-functional execution. The ideal candidate brings strong operational rigor, attention to detail, and the ability to create structure in a fast-moving, high-standard environment. The Retail Operations Specialist will work on-site in our West Hollywood HQ with frequent travel to our Galleries and will report to the US. Retail Director.

Responsibilities

Retail Operations & Process Development

  • Build, implement, and continuously refine retail SOPs across all US galleries
  • Establish clear operational standards to ensure consistency in execution across locations
  • Partner with Retail Leadership to identify gaps and improve efficiency across all areas of the business
  • Own documentation and rollout of new processes, ensuring adoption at the store level
Inventory Management & Control
  • Lead inventory management across all US galleries, ensuring accuracy and accountability
  • Oversee and enforce cycle count processes and inventory audits
  • Monitor stock levels, sell-through, and imbalances, proactively recommending actions
  • Partner with warehouse and supply chain on allocations, replenishment, and discrepancies
Transfers & Logistics
  • Own all store-to-store transfers, ensuring timely and accurate movement of product
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse and logistics teams to support retail needs
  • Maintain clear tracking and communication around inventory movement
Cross-Functional Communication
  • Act as the primary bridge between Retail, IT, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain
  • Support system rollouts (Shopify, NetSuite, etc.) and ensure retail teams are properly trained
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in real time and escalate when needed
Store Support & Standards
  • Ensure galleries are operating in line with company standards across organization, inventory handling, and back-of-house discipline
  • Conduct regular store visits or audits to maintain consistency
  • Support new store openings, including operational setup, inventory flow, and process implementation
Reporting & Analysis
  • Track and report on key operational metrics including inventory accuracy, transfer timing, and stock health
  • Identify risks and inefficiencies, and provide clear recommendations
Support EOD and reporting structure improvements in partnership with leadership

Key Requirements
  • 3-6 years of experience in retail operations, inventory management, or multi-unit retail
  • Strong understanding of inventory systems and retail operations (Shopify, NetSuite or similar preferred)
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to build structure and processes from the ground up
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
