About the Role:
Amity Pharmacy in Woodbridge, CT is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Technician to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a patient-focused environment where your skills make a real difference in the community every day.



Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
  • Process and verify prescription orders, including data entry into pharmacy management systems
  • Handle patient intake, answer phones, and provide excellent customer service at the counter
  • Manage insurance billing, prior authorizations, and resolve claim rejections
  • Maintain and organize pharmacy inventory, including receiving and stocking medications
  • Prepare and package medications while adhering to safety and compliance standards
  • Support a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant pharmacy environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Active Connecticut Pharmacy Technician registration or ability to obtain one
  • PTCB (CPhT) certification preferred but not required
  • Prior retail pharmacy or healthcare experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software and basic computer skills
