Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

Goodwill Southwest Florida is seeking a customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team and help create a welcoming shopping and donation experience for our community. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, and adaptable, with strong communication skills and a willingness to assist wherever needed. This role includes helping customers on the sales floor, operating registers and processing transactions, and being cross-trained to support backdoor donation operations to ensure an efficient and positive experience for customers and donors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting shoppers on the floor, and creating a welcoming store environment.
- Operate cash registers accurately and efficiently while processing customer purchases.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising presentation standards.
- Cross-train to support backdoor operations and safely handle incoming donations as needed.
- Night and weekend availability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Retail experience preferred.
- Experience handling cash, and utilizingcash registers, credit card machines, and POS systems preferred.
- Able to follow pricing guidelines established in the pricing guide.
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
- Ability to stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull and move items; lift and carry a minimum of 40 pounds.
- Comfortable with standing for long periods of time and the possibility of occasionally working where temperatures and climate can fluctuate.
