Key Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Associate, you are the face of Flathead Mercantile and play a crucial role in the customer experience:
- Exceptional Guest Hosting: Be a genuinely friendly and welcoming host to all visitors, embodying a positive attitude ("Smile," "Be Happy").
- Customer Service Excellence: Proactively greet customers, offer knowledgeable assistance, answer questions about our merchandise, and provide thoughtful recommendations.
- Sales and Payment Processing: Accurately take customer orders and efficiently process transactions using the cash register.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintain the shop's pristine appearance and organization, including regular tasks like wiping down counters, sanitizing equipment, and restocking shelves.
- Inventory Management: Participate actively in weekly and monthly inventory counts, which are a major and essential component of the role.
- Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with team members to ensure efficient daily operations and a smooth workflow.
Requirements
- Service-Oriented Attitude: Must be inherently happy and committed to providing consistently friendly service to every customer.
- Foundational Skills: Proficiency in basic math is required for accurate cash handling and order processing.
- Work Ethic: The ability to thrive and maintain efficiency in a fast-paced retail environment.
