This hospitality-based role is fully on-site in a fast-paced, high-throughput entertainment, attractions, and retail environment supporting in-person guest and team interactions 

Schedule: 

This role requires   scheduling flexibility, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and opening and closing shifts based on business needs.

As a Retail Sales Associate at Great Wolf Lodge, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive sales performance across resort retail outlets by engaging guests with product knowledge, maintaining visual merchandising, inventory, and cleanliness standards, processing transactions accurately, and collaborating with your team to uphold brand standards in a high-energy resort setting. Your expertise in retail sales, guest engagement, and operations directly contributes to guest satisfaction, team performance, and operational efficiency across your retail area.

Key Responsibilities: 

Enhance Guest Experience 

• Greet and engage guests while maintaining professional presentation 
• Provide product knowledge and support purchasing decisions with enthusiasm 
• Respond promptly to guest inquiries and escalate issues to leadership 
• Utilize upselling techniques during all guest transactions 

Safety 

• Follow all safety guidelines, company procedures, and asset protection protocols 
• Participate in required safety and emergency training 
• Report any incidents or hazards to leadership 
• Maintain organized, clean work areas that comply with health and safety standards 

Operations 

• Execute daily retail tasks including stocking, POS transactions, merchandising, communication to leaders, opening/closing procedures with accuracy and maintain cleanliness to uphold brand standards 
• Promote and sell products, services, and promotions to support sales goals and key performance metrics 
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall resort operations 

Basic Qualifications & Skills 

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older  
• Some High School education or equivalent 
• Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands; including evenings, weekends, and Holidays 
• Experience utilizing basic math skills with ability to add, subtract multiply and divide 
• Proven customer service skills and communication skills; able to read and interpret English language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures 
• Successful completion of a criminal background and drug screen. 

Desired Qualifications & Traits 

• Previous experience demonstrating strong customer service 
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction 
• Previous experience with cash transactions and Point of Sale systems 
• Proven teamwork skills 
• Enthusiastic and energetic 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. 
• Able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time 
• Able to bend, stretch, and twist 
• Ability to work in a loud environment with flashing lights 
• Comfortable working in various weather conditions
