Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while assisting customers with the selection of fireplaces, patio furniture, BBQ grills, and related accessories. This role combines product knowledge, consultative selling, and showroom presentation to help customers find solutions that fit their lifestyle, space, and budget.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming, knowledgeable, and pressure-free shopping experience
- Assist customers in selecting fireplaces (gas, electric, wood), outdoor living products, BBQ grills, and accessories
- Explain product features, benefits, installation requirements, and maintenance considerations
- Generate quotes, write sales orders, and process transactions accurately
- Maintain showroom displays, product signage, and overall store cleanliness
- Stay informed on product lines, promotions, and industry trends
- Handle customer inquiries, follow-ups, and basic issue resolution professionally
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience required (construction/building, furniture, or specialty retail a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable selling mid- to high-ticket items and working toward sales goals
- Ability to learn technical product information and explain it clearly to customers
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work Saturdays
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with fireplaces, patio furniture, BBQ equipment or overall construction knowledge (not required—training provided)
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
Compensation
- Competitive base salary for your first 12 months while you learn our products, industry, sales process, and customer-service standards.
- Compensation transitions to a base salary plus commission structure, giving you the opportunity to significantly increase your earnings based on sales performance.
- Experienced and dedicated sales person could expect to earn $90,000 - $120,000 after initial 12 month training period.
