Baking life sweeter since 1955, Bethel Bakery is an iconic, family-owned and operated retail bakery.  We take pride in creating exceptional products and customer service experiences that bring a special joy to life. We’re currently looking for a friendly and dependable Retail Shift Lead who enjoys helping others, leading by example, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest who walks through our doors.

What You’ll Do:

• Open and close the bakery and complete required security procedures.
• Handle cash and operate the POS system accurately.
• Provide friendly, prompt, and professional customer service.
• Develop strong knowledge of our products, pricing, packaging, and seasonal offerings.
• Process customer purchases and orders.
• Write messages on cakes with icing (we will train you!)
• Assign tasks and provide direction to Retail Associates during your shift.
• Maintain well-stocked, clean, and appealing bakery displays.
• Support daily storefront operations and communicate needs to management.
• Help ensure company customer service, food safety, and operational standards are followed.

How You'll Grow

Once you successfully complete the required training and assessments for your role, you’ll receive a $0.50/hour pay increase. After you demonstrate proficiency in your role, you’ll be eligible for consideration to become a trainer with a pay differential.

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of retail or customer service experience
• Leadership or team-lead experience is a plus!
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Dependable, positive attitude and strong attention to detail
• The ability to lift 30 pounds, squeeze pastry bags, and stay active throughout the shift.

Schedule

Full-time, 40 hours/5 days per week

Monday–Saturday schedule, with one weekday off

Rotating 8-hour shifts (including opening and closing shifts)

Opening shifts begin at 7:30 a.m.

Closing shifts end at 6:30 p.m.

No late-night shifts

Closed Sundays and major holidays

Must be available during our busy holiday seasons
