Retail Staff Pharmacist Hourly -Full Time
As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a key role in both clinical care and pharmacy operations:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in a retail pharmacy setting
- Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, including dosage, interactions, and therapeutic outcomes
- Perform Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) to ensure patient safety and optimal care
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, side effects, and health management
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to recommend therapy improvements
- Respond to clinical questions from patients and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and medication profiles
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations, including controlled substance management
- Support cost-effective pharmacy operations and workflow efficiencies
- Contribute to a positive team environment by guiding and supporting pharmacy staff
Provide leadership and direction to pharmacy technicians and support staff
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and exceptional patient service
Support training, development, and daily workflow coordination
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Active Pharmacist license in the State of Wisconsin
- Certification to administer immunizations in Wisconsin
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Experience with process improvement and quality initiatives
Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to patient-centered care
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to lead, coach, and support a team
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience with pharmacy systems (RX30, Pioneer) and Microsoft Office is a plus
