Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and customer-centric Retail Store Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of an exciting new luxury retail concept for a growing fine jewelry organization. This is a unique opportunity to help establish a highly personalized, experience-driven boutique that blends fine jewelry, permanent jewelry, charm customization, piercing services, engraving, and luxury client experiences into one elevated destination.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance, developing a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and creating a culture of hospitality, accountability, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is an engaging people leader who thrives in boutique retail environments, enjoys building relationships, embraces innovation, and is excited to help launch a new retail concept from the ground up.

This position will oversee a team of approximately three direct reports within an intimate luxury retail environment while partnering closely with senior leadership during the store's opening and continued growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership and Team Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately three retail associates.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented culture focused on delivering exceptional client experiences.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and develop top talent.
• Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and accountability conversations.
• Lead by example while maintaining a visible, hands-on presence on the sales floor.
• Create an engaging work environment that balances accountability with team development.
• Support ongoing learning around fine jewelry, permanent jewelry, piercing, engraving, and personalized styling services.

Sales Performance and Business Growth
• Drive sales performance through leadership, coaching, and KPI ownership.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators including:
o Sales volume
o Average transaction value
o Conversion rate
o Client appointments
o Clienteling activity
o Customer retention
o Service attachment opportunities
• Identify opportunities to improve business performance through coaching and operational execution.
• Partner with leadership to achieve store sales goals while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
• Inspire a consultative, relationship-driven sales culture.

Client Experience and Relationship Development
• Deliver and model a luxury hospitality experience for every customer.
• Guide clients through personalized shopping experiences that include permanent jewelry, charm customization, engraving, fine jewelry, and other specialty services.
• Build long-term client relationships through proactive clienteling and follow-up.
• Lead by example through consultative selling and personalized styling.
• Ensure every customer interaction reflects the company's luxury brand standards.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally while maintaining a high-touch service experience.

Store Operations and Ownership
• Oversee day-to-day store operations while ensuring operational excellence.
• Maintain luxury showroom presentation and visual merchandising standards.
• Support merchandising updates, product displays, seasonal presentations, and inventory organization.
• Ensure operational compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Partner closely with leadership during the launch of the new retail concept.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, scheduling, staffing, and operational planning.
• Support the successful execution of new experiential services and in-store events.
• Operate effectively within a growing, entrepreneurial organization that continues to evolve.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required
• Minimum 3+ years of retail management experience.
• Minimum 3+ years of luxury retail, fine jewelry, or premium specialty retail experience.
• Experience coaching and developing retail teams.
• Proven ability to drive sales performance and customer engagement.
• Strong understanding of KPIs and retail performance metrics.
• Experience with CRM systems and clienteling.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
 
Preferred
• Fine jewelry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with permanent jewelry programs.
• Knowledge of ear piercing services or piercing jewelry.
• Experience with personalized retail concepts or experiential selling.
• Visual merchandising experience.
• College degree preferred.
 
WORKING CONDITIONS / ENVIRONMENT
• Location: On-site, Denver, Colorado
• Boutique luxury retail environment
• Full-time position
• Reports to: Director of Store Performance & Operations
• Team size: Approximately four employees, including the Store Manager
• Flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Availability during store launch and special events required
 
COMPENSATION
• Base Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 annually, depending on experience
• Compensation within the range will be based on overall retail leadership experience and relevant experience with permanent jewelry, piercing knowledge, and personalized luxury retail services.
