Contract Type - Permanent Full Time - Monday to Sunday

This exciting role presents a great opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic, highly-motivated individual to lead our Peebles Country Store team.

This position will be responsible for ensuring the Store runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively, whilst meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving sales forward, ensuring adherence to the Company's core Values, policies and procedures at all times.

To include some of the following key responsibilities:-

Sales

• Proactively coaches, mentors, monitors and develops the sales performance of Retail Assistants and Supervisors to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• In conjunction with Senior Management, develops and implements new retails sales initiatives to increase store sales including capture of key customer demographics

Market & Industry

• Keeps the business offering relevant to market changes
• Keeps abreast of market trends within the Store location, customer initiatives and competitor analysis

Purchasing

• In conjunction with the Purchasing department ensure the maintenance of the retail supply chain to include stock management, logistics and purchasing requirements
• Ensures the Store is stocked effectively and efficiently

To be successful you need to bring:-

Essential:

• The ability to manage a large number of staff professionally and respectfully
• The ability to delivery exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers

Desired:

• An understanding of the Pet, Equine and Farm markets
• Retail experience from management or working within the retail industry.
• An SQP (Animal Medicine Qualification) would be an advantage however training can be given
