We are seeking an experienced sales manager with a strong background in the luggage and bags industry, focused on expanding American brick-and-mortar retail and wholesale channels.
This is a player-coach role. You will operate as the lead of an independent sales unit — personally driving key accounts while building and managing a junior sales team to deliver measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Channel Expansion
Develop and expand offline sales channels across North America, including: Department storesOff-price retailersSpecialty retail chains and wholesale distributors
Independently source and develop new accounts through cold outreach, store visits, and industry networking, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
Directly engage with retail buyers to present product assortments, negotiate pricing, and finalize commercial terms.
Manage and grow strategic accounts, securing better shelf placement, promotional opportunities, and increased sell-through performance.
3. Team Leadership & Sales Execution
Recruit, train, and manage junior sales representatives.
Set clear sales targets, territory plans, and visit strategies for the team.
Coach team members through joint customer visits, deal reviews, and hands-on sales guidance.
Qualifications
Industry Experience: Minimum 3 years of offline sales experience in luggage, bags, travel goods, or related accessories industries. Strong familiarity with U.S. retail onboarding and buyer decision-making processes.
Sales Capability: Proven hunter mindset with strong new-account acquisition experience. Ability to operate independently while leading a small team.
Other Requirements: Willingness to travel frequently. Must have valid work authorization in the U.S.
