Retina Ophthalmologist - $50k Sign On Bonus! - Chicago, IL
We are seeking a skilled Ophthalmologist to join our large, surgically focused Ophthalmology group. Our established practices operate with a true private practice feel, where you will join a collegial team focused on excellent patient care! We have updated state-of-the-art technology and a large support staff to make sure you have everything you need to deliver the best patient care in the area!
Practice Details:
- Strong surgical volume: 400–1,000 procedures annually
- Updated technology and robust support (dedicated tech, with scribe support during ramp-up)
- Support of ODs!
- Mentorship opportunities within a collaborative, growth-oriented group for new grads!
- Low turnover rate (4%)
- See an Average 30–40 patients/day
- MDs supported with at least 1 tech and scribe as volume builds
- Call shared equally among MDs and ODs
- Collegial group with strong collaboration!
Compensation & Benefits
- $50k Sign on Bonus available
- Relocation assistance available
- Partnership eligibility within 12 months for experienced MDs (up to $400K buy-in)
- Salary based on experience with two models:
- Base + production (30% past 3x base in collections)
- Straight % of net collections (with 1-year base guarantee)
- 401k with 4% match (after 12 months)
- Medical/dental/vision through United Healthcare
- Malpractice + short- and long-term disability + life insurance
- 15–25 PTO days (vacation/sick/CE) + 5–7 paid holidays
- CME allowance $1,500–$2,500 annually
- Life insurance
- Total benefits package valued at ~$30,000
Schedule
- Full-time, 5 days/week (some offices may offer a 4-day option)
- Monday–Friday schedule
