Who we're looking for

Toyota's Human Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Retirement Manager. The primary responsibility of this role is leading the administration and operations with desired outcome of continuous improvement of retirement plans and programs for team members and retirees of Toyota Motor North America ensuring alignment with company values.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Benefits, this position will play a critical role in guiding the departments objective to attract, retain and motivate a highly diverse workforce while enriching the overall team member experience.

The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

This position is based in Plano. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location.

Responsibilities

Manages employee benefit programs to include defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

Effectively manages ongoing vendor relationships and ensures the delivery of quality service and cost containment effectiveness.

Communicates extensively with internal and external legal staff for the resolution of issues, preparation of compliance documents, contracts, statement of work and review of benefits communications.

Evaluates and compares existing company benefits with those of other employers by analyzing plans, surveys and other sources of information. Analyze results of surveys and develop specific recommendations to management.

Managing a team of benefit professionals, fostering collaboration across functions to accomplish objectives

Ensures company compliance with provisions of all plans.

Proven ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.

Manages preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as the IRS, DOL, PBGC, insurance commissioners and other regulatory agencies.

Responsible for the preparation and distribution of compliance required communications to include changes or clarifications to any of our benefits, lead retirement communication strategy in the effort to promote retirement readiness.

Handles retirement plan and program inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, courteous resolution.

Oversee maintenance of records for all benefit plans.

Ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or closely related field or equivalent professional experience relevant to this position

Extensive knowledge of retirement plans and programs, including pension and 401(K) plans

Extensive benefits administration experience

Knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to benefit plans, programs or practices, and company policies and operations

Recent and extensive experience managing external vendor relationships

Excellent presentation and project management skills

Strong analytical skills and mathematical aptitude

Supervisory and/or managerial experience in a corporate enterprise environment

Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Ability and willingness to travel 15% of the time

Added bonus if you have:

Experience with large company having 10,000+ employees

Advanced degree relevant to this position

CBP, SPHR, CCP, CEBS, or similar professional certification

Automotive industry experience

HRIS systems experience
