Position Title: Retirement Program, Emerging Talent Intern
Hourly Rate: $19.00 (Undergraduate)
All internship positions are onsite and require regular, in-person attendance at the designated work location.
OVERVIEW OF DEPARTMENT:
The Consolidated Pensions unit oversees the administration, compliance, and operations of multiple retirement programs across the MTA, including the MaBSTOA Pension Plan. The team is responsible for ensuring accurate pension calculations, member services, benefit processing, actuarial coordination, and regulatory reporting. We work closely with HR, Payroll, Legal, and external partners to support more than 30,000 active and retired members.
Interns will focus on member engagement and communications for the pension plan, helping to prepare outreach materials and support ongoing member‑facing initiatives. Interns will assist with member data projects, including reviewing and validating earnings, enrollment, and service credit information. Together, they will help strengthen data accuracy and enhance the overall member experience.
