The Retreat Attendant plays an essential role in creating a clean, calm, and welcoming experience for every guest at Massage Heights. This position helps set the tone from the moment a guest enters the Retreat by ensuring all guest-facing areas, treatment spaces, linens, and shared team areas remain clean, organized, stocked, and service-ready throughout the day.

Retreat Attendants are expected to take pride in the appearance of the Retreat, consistently walk the space with a guest-focused mindset, and address cleanliness or supply needs before they become a concern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming Retreat throughout each shift, including the lobby, reception area, hallways, restrooms, relaxation areas, breakroom, laundry area, storage spaces, and other shared areas.
  • Complete routine cleaning throughout the day, including wiping surfaces, sanitizing high-touch areas, emptying trash, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning mirrors, refreshing restrooms, and keeping floors free of debris.
  • Manage laundry continuously throughout the day. This includes washing, drying, folding, organizing, and restocking table linens, blankets, face cradle covers, towels, robes, and other service-related items.
  • Ensure treatment room supplies and linen areas are properly stocked so therapists can begin services on time and guests receive a consistent experience.
  • Support therapists with efficient room turnover between appointments when needed by assisting with linens, supplies, sanitation needs, and maintaining clean hallways and shared service areas.
  • Monitor high-traffic areas frequently and refresh them as needed to maintain a polished appearance. This includes checking restrooms, lobby seating, beverage areas, hallways, laundry areas, and employee spaces throughout the shift.
  • Complete deep-cleaning tasks according to the Retreat’s daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklist. Deep-cleaning responsibilities may include baseboards, vents, walls, doors, cabinets, shelves, furniture, storage areas, breakroom appliances, and other areas that require more detailed attention.
  • Ensure cleaning supplies, paper products, laundry supplies, and guest amenities are stocked and report low inventory, damaged items, maintenance concerns, or repair needs to the Guest Experience Manager or Retreat Director immediately.
  • Maintain proper sanitation practices when handling linens, cleaning tools, trash, and shared equipment. Cleaning tools and supplies must be stored properly and kept in clean, usable condition.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the Retreat, including scheduled hall walks, to identify and correct concerns related to cleanliness, odors, clutter, safety, supply levels, or overall guest readiness.
  • Assist with closing responsibilities by ensuring all assigned areas are cleaned, stocked, organized, and prepared for the following business day.
Expectations:

Retreat Attendants are expected to work with urgency, attention to detail, and pride in the environment they maintain. A clean Retreat is not limited to completing a checklist. It means noticing what a guest may notice, responding quickly to needs, and helping ensure every guest enters a space that feels peaceful, professional, and cared for.

Consistent completion of assigned cleaning duties, proper documentation on cleaning checklists, communication with leadership, and accountability for the condition of assigned areas are required in this role.
Compensation: $13.00 per hour
