Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Revenue Accountant I to join us in a full-time capacity.Location RequirementThe work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.Role OverviewThe Revenue Accountant I will play a crucial role in managing and accounting for revenue related to the general accounting, revenue and operations of Segra's non-funded, commercial telecom customer base. This role involves ensuring that all telecom services provided to commercial customers are properly invoiced, recognized, and reported in compliance with applicable accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of revenue recognition (ASC 606), telecom billing system and general ledger close, reconciliation, and revenue reporting processes. The role also includes, but is not limited to, supporting the monthly close process, validating tie-outs of billing integration data, and working closely with other departments to ensure accurate reporting.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.Experience:A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in revenue accounting, billing, or general accounting (telecom industry experience preferred)Strong understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and general accounting principles (GAAP) in the telecom industryProficiency in Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (Business Central, MS D365, Power BI)Key CompetenciesDept/Org Scope & Impact: Fully competent and productive professional contributor, working independently on larger, moderately complex projects/assignments that have a direct impact on department and area results.Autonomy: Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues; Work review typically involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct 'customers' of the process.Knowledge: Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of field of specialization to the completion of moderately complex assignments.
